also, that leap off the roof is highly suspicious. the chase too. camera loses sight of the guy more than once. so, Takagi and DBC posse lost sight of the dude too. while he's standing on the roof next to the fence, watch thief's elbows. unless they're flexing the material due to the wind, (animation) dude's doing something in front of himself and blocking the view from his pursuit. i think the guy was attaching a rapid descent line to the fence, he zips down the building's side into an open window on that face of the building, yanks his rope down and off the fence, then tosses a pre-prepared corpse/prisoner out the window onto the truck below.

my other theory isthere's two thieves. the one in the store switches places during the foot-chase with the one who leaps off the roof. guy who jumps, was dying of cancer or something and his 'buddy' with the loot is going to 'take care of things' with the jewels. family. wife. kid. something.
